
Established in 1999, Hospitality Concepts is under the direction of President & CEO Jason Wallace. Mr. Wallace is a twenty-four year food service professional. Before launching Hospitality Concepts LLC Mr. Wallace worked as both an executive chef and general manager for such notable foodservice corporations as Joe Baum & associates and Restaurant Associates both of New York City. Mr. Wallace earned his foodservice AOS degree and BPS degree, from the Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park NY. Mr. Wallace also holds the title of Certified Hospitality Educator, CHE. Hospitality Concepts currently employs 10 full time staff, 15 part time staff, as well as other outside professional individuals. Mr. Wallace is currently a Restaurant Management Instructor at The Art Institute of NY, formerly “The NY Restaurant School”. He also holds an Executive Officer position as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the New York State Restaurant Association.
ABout Jason T. Wallace
Jason T. Wallace has clearly established himself as a consummate food service professional. He can be seen downtown teaching signature restaurant management classes at The Art Institute of New York (formerly “The NY Restaurant School) as well as uptown managing and consulting for various restaurants pioneering the New Harlem Renaissance.
As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Wallace has acquired twenty-four years worth of experience within the foodservice & hospitality industry.
Wallace spent a five-year stint in the United States Navy. It was there that he decided to further his enthusiasm for food and beverage and soon enrolled in the Culinary Institute. In the Winter of 1995 Mr. Wallace made the move from the culinary side of the foodservice industry to the management side of the industry. His first management job out of school was with Restaurant Associates. Mr. Wallace worked with Restaurant Associates as a foodservice manger at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Panevino’s restaurant, and with “R.As.” special events department. He managed such events as the U.S. Tennis Open, US Golf Open as well as other high profile catered events. With his love for mentoring deeply rooted in his heart, In November of 1999 Wallace’s career changed focus towards education and restaurant consulting, where he began to teach within the Restaurant Management Degree Program at the New York Restaurant School.
In addition to his very busy teaching schedule, Wallace has numerous New York restaurants under his advisement including Pier 2110 Harlem’s newest fine dining establishment. He also holds an Executive Officer position as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the New York State Restaurant Association (NYSRA) and is also the Founder and CEO of Hospitality Concepts LLC, a New York / New Jersey based restaurant consulting firm. Wallace also holds the title of a Certified Hospitality Educator “CHE”.
